SYNOPSIS:

Meet the friendly insect community of Buttercup wood, a community full of humour, wonder and adventure. This series focuses on Louie, shanghai and Dietel, three feisty young insects with a thirst for knowledge and fun, as they learn about life and friendship in Buttercup wood.

Louie, shanghai and dietel approach problems in completely difference ways, but soon discover that together, they can do practically anything. Each character gets the opportunity to shine in range of funny and imaginative stories, showing children that it doesn’t matter who you are, it’s determination, intelligence and above all, a belief in yourself and your friends that will always win through in the end.

Shanghai, Louie and Dietel live in a tree on the edge of a clearing in the middle of Buttercup wood, the clearing is the setting of the insect neighbourhood, its inhabited by a diverse population. In this case, it’s insects.

Living just outside the community is snyder the spider and Roach the cockroach. These two naughty insects choose to live separately from the others, believing that they don’t need to be nice to anyone. Their favourite pastime is playing mischievous tricks on everyone else in Buttercup wood.
